The historic Nebo courthouse and police station which was officially opened as a museum by Inspector D.A. Daniels at the Shire's Centenary of local government celebrations on May 15, 1983 was shifted to a new site recently.
The building was formerly a church at the gold mining town of Mt Britton and was originally shifted to Nebo in 1883.
It operated as the Nebo courthouse and police station until May 1980 when the new police station and residence was opened in Reynolds Street.
It is now a gallery housing the Mt Britton Collection.
